Each training program is designed using the Integrated Ecosystems Approach, taking into account the common resource base, and participants in each program would come from one contiguous area. The Institute will endeavor to design its programs towards the attainment of specific and measurable impacts on the common resource. They will craft an Area Specific Action Plan (ASAP) at the end of the training.

There will be site cross visits for knowledge sharing and evaluation process after (6 months to 1 year) to monitor the impact of the training not only on the participants, but also the effect of the program on the resource base. This means that all training programs of the Institute must be oriented towards attaining specific impact on the ecosystem and resource base.

Subject to adjustment and specific training design for a particular ecosystem, the Institute’s training framework shall include:

Basic Ecological Concepts & CCA-DRR

Applicable Management Models & Resource Valuation

Relevant Environmental Policies/Laws

Basic Enforcement Skills

Integrated Area Specific Action Planning (ASAP)

Each training shall have a duration of three to four days and will be presented using popular education techniques.
